San Juanico Bridge formerly Marcos Bridge is the longest and most beautiful designed bridge in the Philippines. It offers many picturesque views, especially of the San Juanico Strait with its thousand whirlpools as well as the lovely islets of the province. Construction on the bridge began in 1969 and was competed in 1973, during the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos. The bridge stretches from Samar to Leyte crossing the San Juanico Strait.
