Salary Increase for Government Employees

Government employees in the Philippines are given a 10% salary increase starting July 2008. With the continuously rising prices of commodities in the country, this salary increase would be of help to the workers, or does it? Is the increase sufficient enough to compensate the financial crisis that the country is facing? I hope it will. But, I hope much more that the commodities’ price hike issue would be simultaneously resolved.
