Children who read at home are generally much more successful in school than those who do not. In fact, the most effortless means to raise your child’s grades, self-esteem, and reading level is to read with them—and when it says read with them it means just that. You read a little, and then they read a little. Not only will your child begin to feel like a better reader and a better student, he or she will become one. The extra benefit is that whenever you spend quality time with a child, that child feels special and loved.
