Subic Bay

Subic Bay where US naval base/facility was located from 1901-1992. After the last American ship and helicopter left it became the famous tourist destination. Subic Bay offers a lot of activities and attractions to its visitors. I would definitely recommend Ocean Adventure where it showcases live performances of marine life like whales, dolphins and sea lions. Safari animals? Visit Zoobic Safari, were you can go to see and feed huge tigers, ostriches, wild pigs, monkeys, eagles, albino pythons, and butterfly farm. They have survival training camp (JEST camp) and mountain trail. Want more? Bat Kingdom , Subic Bay sheltered thousands of fruits and bamboo bats (smaller size) to its reserve forest. If you want hiking, then do the Apaliin trail or if you want more adventure you can do kayaking in the cavity of Mt. Pinatubo, or better yet enjoy the thrill while trekking the hot springs, Lahar fields in the area of Mt. Pinatubo. Bicentennial Park, picnic area with families and friends. Wreck diving spots (USS New York, San Quentin and El Capitan ). Photo credit by: casa_barretto

Underground River, Palawan is about eight kilometer long underneath the cliff. They said that the river is the longest in the world. There is a creek-like or pond closes its mouth with crystal-clear water that is abundant with fish. Inside the cave you will see large formations of stalactites and stalagmites which look like religious images or pictures, fruits and birds. Aside from that the river features cathedral-like grotto and roof. The Park is listed in the World Heritage. Photo credit by: lenareh

Camiguin White Island

Early morning visit at the White “sand” Island , Camiguin with my family before going back to Cagayan de Oro. This island has no trees or even shade but it has a great view of Mount Hibok-Hibok. Going to the island is clear blue water and you can see the corals. Perfect for diving, snorkeling and swimming. Local say that the island disappears when it is high tide and the best time to go is early morning or late afternoon. Photo credit: erwanlissillour

Hundred Islands

Pangasinan is more known to its most popular tourist attraction which is the Hundred Islands National Park. A cluster of more than a hundred islands off the town of Alaminos on the Lingayen Gulf. Quezon is the biggest island. Most of the islands are small and uninhabited. The biggest islands have beaches where visitors can spend the day or camp out for a picnic. Thirty of the islands are bordered by white sandy beaches and surrounded by coral. The crystal clear waters are suited for swimmers, snorkelers and scuba divers. Urduja and Cathedral Islands are interesting because of their caves. The Romulo and Shell Islands are ideal sites for a little peace, relaxation and isolation. Photo credit by: lacesdews

Crocodile Island

Looking for a diving site in Boracay? Here’s one famous diving site, the crocodile island. In the distance it looks like a lot of a crocodile that’s where they got its name. The One can see the colorful corals and rare exotic fishes clearly about 10-15 feet below sea surface since the water is so clear. This island is also good for snorkeling. Photo by: albert_flicks

Alona Bohol Beach Club

Alona Bohol Beach Club is also one of the beaches that we visited in Bohol . It is a well-developed white beach resort. Along the beach is a coconut tree lined trail. Alona is the best place to visit if you are into scuba diving or snorkeling and even nature trekking. You can rent a motorbike if you want to discover more about the beaches in Panglao Island.
