disability appeal

I have an aunt who lives in the United States for almost 15 years already. She just had a major operation and she is filing for disability benefits. Her application for disability benefits was denied hence she is now filing for a disability appeal. My aunt said that she don’t know how long will it take or ever she’s going to win the case.
